Dead Body With Prosthetic Leg Found Floating Near Brooklyn Bridge

NEW YORK CITY — A dead man with a prosthetic leg was found floating near the Brooklyn Bridge on Tuesday, police said.

The body was spotted in the East River near Pier 1 in downtown Brooklyn around 6:45 a.m., police said.

FDNY and the NYPD’s Harbor Unit responded to the scene and pulled the body from the water.

It is not known at this time how the man ended up in the water.

The man is believed to be in his 30s, according to a New York Post.
