NEW YORK — Dozens of high-ranking New York police officials were ousted following allegations that Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey traded overtime for sex, according to a report from the New York Post published Saturday, which cited documents obtained by the newspaper.

Among those booted were the heads of the Internal Affairs Bureau, the Post reported, including Deputy Chief Chris Morello. Former bureau Chief Miguel Iglesias was relieved of his command last weekend. Inspectors Joseph Profeta and Michael Ricciardi were both sent to patrol buroughs, according to the Post.

Six members of Maddrey’s office have been ousted as well, with most sent to beat roles in public housing, the Post reported.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch accepted Maddrey's resignation Dec. 20, a department spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

"The NYPD takes all allegations of sexual misconduct seriously, and will thoroughly investigate this matter," a statement from the department said.

Lt. Quathisha Epps filed a complaint last weekend against the city with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming that Maddrey engaged in "quid pro quo sexual harassment" by coercing her to "perform unwanted sexual favors in exchange for overtime opportunities in the workplace.”

Maddrey has been the subject of other misconduct allegations, including one from a police captain who says she rebuffed his unwanted advances for years.

In an exclusive interview with NBC New York, Maddrey described the relationship between him and Epps as an "office fling" and denied giving her overtime or pressuring her in any way.
