Off-Duty Cop Shoved Onto Subway Tracks In Manhattan, Suspect In Custody

NEW YORK CITY — A man has been charged after allegedly shoving an off-duty police officer onto the subway tracks at a Manhattan station Tuesday night.

The incident happened on the 3rd Ave. station in the East Village around 7:35 p.m., police said.

Aaron Walker, 28, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct, police said.

The incident may have stemmed from an argument between the two men, which quickly escalated into a fight.

The 24-year-old man was taken to Bellevue Hospital for a head injury and was listed in stable condition.
