Father Charged With Murder In Death Of Missing 2-Year-Old Boy, NYPD Says

The father is expected to be arraigned in a Bronx court on Thursday.

NEW YORK CITY — The 20-year-old father has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a missing 2-year-old boy that disappeared last month.

Arius Williams was arrested on Wednesday and has also been charged with manslaughter, police said Thursday.

The body believed to be 2-year-old Montrell Williams was found in the East River on Wednesday, Patch previously reported. The boy was last seen in Hunts Point on May 10.

Montrell Williams was last seen on May 10, police said.

The NYPD Harbor Unit found the body of 2-year-old Montrell Williams off Ferry Point near the Whitestone Bridge, sources told FOX 5 NY and NBC New York. A positive identification will still have to be made.

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
