FBI Raids Another Adams Aide's NYC Homes, Officials Say
Winnie Greco, a top aide to Mayor Eric Adams under scrutiny for her fundraising, is on leave after the Thursday raids, officials said.
NEW YORK CITY — FBI agents raided a Bronx home of a top aide to Mayor Eric Adams, according to reports.
Winnie Greco, a senior adviser to Adams, owns a Pelham Bay home that agents surrounded Thursday, News12 first reported.
Another report by the New York Times stated that the FBI agents searched two homes owned by Greco on Gillespie Avenue, and served a third warrant at another, unclear location. An FBI spokesperson confirmed to Patch that they carried out "law enforcement activity" at a Gillespie Avenue address, but had no further information.

No federal law enforcement reached out to City Hall before the raids, city officials told Patch. Greco was placed on leave Thursday, they said.
"Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines," a City Hall spokesperson said in a statement.

"As we have repeatedly said, we don't comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway. The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing."
Greco works as Adams' $100,000-a-year Asian affairs director, and has long ties with the mayor going back to his tenure as Brooklyn borough president, THE CITY reported.
She also has been under recent scrutiny for accusations related to her fundraising for Adams and unethical behavior.
Those accusations — including that she was linked to potential straw donations and promised a tech worker a job in the Adams administration if he worked on a kitchen renovation in her home — have been the subject of an ongoing investigation by THE CITY.
They also led to a Department of Investigation probe prompted by a referral from the mayor's office, THE CITY reported.
Adams, when asked if his office referred those accusations to the department, said they follow all reporting requirments.
"That is what we always do, and that's just general," he said Nov. 21. "All reporting requirements we do that, and I think that we have a record of doing that."
Greco is the second Adams aide to face attention from the FBI in recent months. His fundraiser, Brianna Suggs, had her home raided in November over potential illegal campaign contributions from Turkey.
"I am clear that we follow the rules," Adams said a week after that raid.
The outlet also reported it wasn't clear if the probe into Greco is related to the Suggs investigation.
