In March, FBI agents searched the homes of two city officials close to Adams as part of an investigation into whether his campaign conspired with the Turkish government to receive illegal campaign contributions, according to the report.
In July, Adams was subpoenaed by federal prosecutors investigating his 2021 campaign finances.
We've been extremely transparent about making sure if there are documents that's looked at, they're going to see text messages or any other items, Adams told J.R. Giddings on GMGT Live’s “The Reset Talk Show" on Aug. 16.
"We're going to turn it over and walk away. I believe, showing that I did nothing wrong."
Currently, none of Adams' campaign staff or the mayor himself have been charged with any wrongdoing.
