Girl, 3, Seriously Injured After Moped Hit-And-Run On NYC Sidewalk

The suspect is still at large as of Monday morning, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A 3-year-old girl was left seriously injured after she was struck by a moped as she was on a New York City sidewalk this past weekend.

The incident happened just after 1 p.m. on Friday in front of a building on Holland Avenue in the Bronx, police said.

The suspect fled the scene after hitting the 3-year-old victim.

The girl was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi for her injuries. According to a New York Post report, the victim suffered a fractured skull and bleeding to the face after the incident.

The suspect is still at large as of Monday morning.

He was last seen wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants, and black sandals. Police released an updated surveillance images of the suspect without the orange jacket and could be seen limping down a street.

The wanted vehicle is described as a moped scooter, blue with black stripes on the side.
