Group Beats 66-Year-Old Man With Fire Extinguisher, 5 Suspects Wanted
The individuals used a fire extinguisher to strike the victim in the head, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A 66-year-old man sleeping on the sidewalk in Midtown Manhattan was attacked by five men and bashed in the head with a fire extinguisher— leaving the victim in critical condition, police said.
The incident happened on Aug. 4 around 1:22 a.m. in front of 1370 Broadway, police said.
The 66-year-old victim was approached by five individuals, who proceeded to punch and kick him multiple times. The individuals then used a fire extinguisher to strike the victim in the head, police said.

The five men then fled the scene, leaving with the victim in critical condition.
The 66-year-old man was taken to NYC Health+Hospitals/Bellevue for his injuries, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the five suspects on Thursday.
One of the suspects is seen wearing all black.
The second individual was last seen wearing a black pullover mask, a white t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.
The third individual was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
The fourth individual was last seen wearing all black and carrying a bookbag.
The fifth suspect was last seen wearing a navy blue beanie, all black clothing, and black and white sneakers.
