Hockey Stick-Wielding Attacker Randomly Whacks Woman: NYPD
An as-yet-unidentified assailant randomly slapped a 26-year-old woman with a hockey stick in the East Village, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A violent hoser randomly whacked a woman with a hockey stick along an East Village street, police said.
The April 9 attack remained under investigation more than a week later, as NYPD officials released a video of a stick-wielding man in hopes the public could identify him.
The slapshot unfolded about 10:30 p.m. as a 26-year-old woman walked along East Sixth Street and was approached by an as-yet-unidentified man with a hockey stick, police said.

Without warning, the man swung the hockey stick and struck the woman's leg, authorities said.
He ran off, while the woman called police and received treatment from medics, officials said.

The man was last seen wearing a black jacket, a light-colored hoodie, light-colored pants and multi-colored sneakers.
