NEW YORK — Investigators have subpoenaed several correction officers at the Manhattan jail where Jeffrey Epstein killed himself amid a probe into his death, a new report says.

Up to 20 officers working at the Manhattan Correctional Center got the grand jury subpoenas last week in connection with the federal investigation of the pedophile financier's suicide, CNN reported Thursday.

Officials want to "recreate" what happened the night Epstein died by suicide as he awaited trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, a source with knowledge of the situation told the network.

Investigators particularly want lieutenants in charge at the time to discuss "rounds that were not made" leading up to Epstein's demise, the story says.

The FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice's inspector general are probing the circumstances of Epstein's death, which the New York City medical examiner ruled a suicide last week.
