  1. A judge may hold New York City in contempt for failing to bring detainees to their medical appointments at Rikers Island jails. Detainees reportedly missed tens of thousands of appointments in February and March. The Department of Corrections has 30 days to remedy the issue before it is ordered to pay $100 per appointment missed. (New York City Patch)
  2. After a passenger at LaGuardia noticed a single beer priced at $28, the Port Authority, which manages New York City's three major airports, has updated its regulations. Food and beverages must now cost the same as their local "street prices," with a maximum 10% surcharge. (PIX11 New York News)
  3. It's now official - NYC is as at "high risk" for COVID-19, with indoor masking 'highly encouraged' but not mandated. While the city is averaging 3,500 cases per day, hospital capacity and the death rate are both relatively low, according to Mayor Adams. (New York City Patch)
  4. A newly-drawn Congressional district stretching from 14th Street in Manhattan to parts of southern Brooklyn is without an incumbent, leading many politicians and political hopefuls to put their hat in the ring. That includes former Mayor Bill de Blasio, multiple State Senators and Assembly Members, and former Comptroller and mayoral candidate Scott Stringer. (THE CITY)
  5. In sports news, a former Mets baseball player Matt Harvey was hit with a 60 game suspension after admitting to distributing illegal drugs. He has also confessed to using substances himself. (amNY)
