NEW YORK CITY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Katie Couric revealed they'd both had contact with Port Authority head Rick Cotton just hours before he was diagnosed with the new coronavirus.

Neither has mentioned plans to self quaratine, despite more than two thousand New York City dwellers currently being told to isolate themselves — many because they'd simply been in countries where the illness is prevalent.

Cuomo told a press briefing that he had not been tested for coronavirus because he'd not had direct contact, but then revealed he'd recently met with Cotton.

Couric, tweeting out a news story about Cotton's sickness, said she'd seen him on Saturday.

"Rick Cotton is an old friend of mine," the celebrity wrote.

"In fact I just saw him on Saturday for the first time in a long time. Feel better Rick."

As fans responded asking if she was putting herself in self isolation, she tweeted:

The CDC's guidelines state that COVID-19 can spread through droplets from people up to six feet from you.
