L Train Suspended in Brooklyn After Reports Of Person Hit by Subway

The L train is reportedly shut down at Grand Street after a person was hit by a train.

UPDATE 9 p.m.: The MTA says L trains are back up and running in both directions with residual delays.

The L train is shut down in both directions through much of its line with what the MTA is calling "an unauthorized person" on the tracks at Grand Street.

The MTA says there is no service on L trains between Eighth Avenue and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues in both directions.

Other reports indicate that someone was hit.

An FDNY spokesman said he had no information on anything taking place at Grand Street.
