Lip Synching At Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

John Legend and Rita Ora reveal all performers are required to lip synch during the parade.

MANHATTAN, NY— Fun fact: your favorite artists performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade aren't singing live.

Rita Ora received an abundance of criticism on Twitter for a lip synching mishap during her parade performance.

Fellow performer John Legend took to Twitter to defend the singer, and reveal a not-so-fun fact about the music industry: lip synching, especially at parades, is encouraged.

Ora added she finds the lip synching requirements "annoying" and that she is no Milli Vanilli. Fans can hear her sing live at all her concert venues.
