Madonna Found Unresponsive, Rushed To NYC ICU: Manager, Report

The famed singer developed a serious bacterial infection and will spend several days in an ICU, her manager wrote on Instagram.

NEW YORK CITY — Madonna was rushed to an intensive care unit in New York City after she was found unresponsive, according to reports and a Wednesday announcement from her manager.

The famed singer developed a serious bacterial infection on Saturday, her manager Guy Oseary wrote on Instagram.

"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care," Oseary wrote. "A full recovery is expected."

Madonna, 64, was hospitalized after she was found unresponsive, according to a Page Six report. The outlet also reported Madonna was intubated for at least one night, but the tube has since been removed.

The legendary performer will stay in the ICU for several days, impacting the Madonna - The Celebration Tour, scheduled to begin in Vancouver on July 15.

"At this we need to pause all commitments," Oseary wrote, "which includes the tour."

The Instagram notice was flooded with well wishes from fans, friends and fellow celebrities, including Perez Hilton, Carson Kressley and Zooey Deschanel.

"Hope she feels better very soon," the actress wrote.
