Man, 71, Attacked, Punched In The Face On NYC Subway Platform: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police continue to search for a man who attacked a 71-year-old man on a Manhattan subway platform close to two weeks ago, police said.

The incident happened inside the Broadway-Lafayette Street Station around 7:45 p.m., police said.

The 71-year-old victim was approached by an unknown man who punched him multiple times in the face, police said.

The victim fell and hit his head on the subway platform, police said.

The 71-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for injuries to his head and face, police said.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect on Thursday.

The unknown man was last seen wearing a red and black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.
