THE BRONX, NY — A 54-year-old man has been arrested and charged for attacking a subway rider with a machete last month, police announced.

On August 31, a 31-year-old victim was aboard a northbound "2" train approaching the Allerton Avenue subway station when Jordan walked up to him and began harassing him.

The dispute escalated when the suspect took out a machete and began to strike the victim multiple times, causing injuries to his arm and hand, police said.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospital/Jacobi in stable condition.
