NEW YORK CITY — A man was arrested after carrying a loaded gun into an office building near Union Square and threatening to kill himself on Friday, according to police and reports.

The incident happened at 124 East 14th Street around 10:30 a.m., police said.

The man allegedly took out the gun and said he was going to kill himself. He was apparently tackled to the ground by bystanders. He was arrested by police shortly after.

According to Bloomberg, the man was attending Wikipedia’s annual WikiConference being held at Civic Hall, an event space in the building.

No shots were fired during the incident. A loaded gun was recovered from the scene.
