NEW YORK CITY — A straphanger was shot and killed during a fight on an D train in The Bronx, according to police and reports.

The Friday morning shooting left a 45-year-old man dead and prompted a hunt for a still-at-large shooter, NYPD officials said.

The incident unfolded about 5 a.m. as a D train headed south rolled into the East 182nd Street and Grand Concourse subway station, police said.
