
NEW YORK CITY — A 32-year-old man was shot inside Penn Station Wednesday night, police said.
The incident happened on a Long Island Rail Road platform inside the station around 7 p.m., police said.
The man was shot in the arm and abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital after the shooting.

Additional incident details have not been released. The shooting may have stemmed from an attempted robbery, AMNY and the New York Post reported.
According to reports, the 32-year-old who was shot tried to rob an off-duty NYPD officer who was with her husband near the platform.
