Man Stabbed In Back At East Village Subway Station: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for a suspect who attacked and stabbed another man near a Manhattan train station.

The incident happened on Sept. 20 at about 8:43 p.m. near the 1st Avenue and East 14th Street train station, police said.

A 29-year-old man was walking down the stairs and bumped into the suspect, who brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the back after a verbal dispute, police said.

The unknown man then fled on foot.

The victim was transported to NYC health and hospital/ Bellevue in stable condition.
