Man Stabbed, Injured In Washington Square Park

It is not known at this time what led up to the stabbing.

NEW YORK CITY — A 21-year-old man was injured after a stabbing in Washington Square Park Monday night, police said.

The victim was attacked and stabbed in the abdomen near Fifth Avenue and MacDougal Street around 7:45 p.m., police said.

A suspect was taken into custody after the stabbing. Charges are pending.
