- Mayor Eric Adams unveiled a broad, 97-page plan to build more housing and reduce homelessness on Tuesday. It calls to create 15,000 supportive housing units in the next two years and provide funding for NYCHA. however at a press conference following the announcement he provided few details as to how it would accomplish those goals. - The City Council passed a record $101 billion budget late Monday night, after reaching an early agreement last Friday. The budget reduces school funding by about $215 million, prompting six Council Members to vote 'no.' Some of those members, like Astoria Councilwoman Tiffany Cabán, were punished for their no vote by being denied additional funding by Speaker Adrienne Adams. (New York City Patch)
- In a super-heated debate, Republican primary candidates for New York Governor sparred with each other, hurling insults and accusing their opponents of not supporting former President Trump enough. (Gothamist)
- President Biden signed a bill forming a commission to study the feasibility of creating a national Asian-American history museum in the Washington, D.C. area. Queens Congresswoman Grace Meng has been pushing for the bill for the past seven years. (New York City Patch)
- At a vigil, parents and relatives morned the loss of 13-year-olds Daniel Persaud and Ryan Wong who drowned in Jamaica Bay on Friday, after a sandbar they were standing on collapsed. (New York 1)
