“Even if Adams is able to beat the charges, as he has pledged to, our survey makes clear that he has already been convicted in the court of public opinion,” Morning Consult wrote in its findings.

“Our survey also makes clear that New Yorkers are pining for the Bloomberg era, a consensus any aspiring future leader would be wise to take note.”

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo — who has teased a return to politics — also received favorable poll results.

Forty-two percent of New Yorkers would like to see Cuomo run for mayor, 41 percent said they would be opposed to him running.

State Attorney General Letitia James also garnered some support. About 40 percent of adults would support James to run, according to the poll. That included 54 percent of Democrats, which was more support from her party than any other candidate polled.

Former Mayor Bill de Blasio remains unpopular with New Yorkers, according to the poll. 54 percent of people were not in favor of de Blasio running again.

The poll also looked at other possible candidates like Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, former city Comptroller Scott Stringer and current city Comptroller Brad Lander.
