NY AG James Endorses Adrienne Adams For Mayor: Reports
Adams also received endorsement from three major city unions on Wednesday.
NEW YORK CITY — New York Attorney Letitia James officially endorsed Council Speaker Adrienne Adams for mayor on Wednesday, according to reports.
The announcement was made alongside other endorsements for Adams including District Council 37, the city’s largest municipal union; Unite Here Local 100, which represents hospitality workers; and Communications Workers of America Local 1180, which represents social service workers, according to the New York Times and New York Daily News.
James appeared with Adams at a campaign rally in Manhattan and said the council speaker had the experience and integrity to lead the city. She also encouraged voters not to “look to the past” or to candidates seeking “political revenge or even redemption," according to the Times report.

In addition, James said she would campaign with Adams at Black churches across the city.
"Because certain candidates have visited a significant number of Black churches in the city of New York, and I think it’s important to remind them of the history of individuals,” James said at a press conference.
