NYC Infant Had Cocaine In System, Death Ruled A Homicide, NYPD Says

NEW YORK CITY — A 4-month-old’s death has been deemed a homicide after cocaine was found in his system, according to officials.

Ariel Gonzalez, of the Bronx, died on Aug. 10.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 707 Eagle Ave., where they found the 4-month-old boy unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, police said.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death as a homicide Nov. 13. Gonzalez died from acute cocaine intoxication.
