NYC Laundromat Murder Bust Nabs 5, Including 16-YO Boy: NYPD
Five people face murder charges in the death of Money Perkins, 37, who was shot Dec. 1 inside a Brooklyn laundromat, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Five people, including a 16-year-old boy, face murder charges in the death of a Brooklyn laundromat owner, according to police and reports.
Cops arrested the quintet — who ranged in ages from 16 to 48 — Wednesday after a months-long investigation into the robbery that claimed the life of Money Perkins, 37, inside an East Flatbush laundromat, authorities said.
Perkins was shot multiple times Dec. 1 by a group of robbers who grabbed a $60,000 chain from his neck, the New York Daily News first reported.

A 911 call brought NYPD officers to the 4710 Clarendon Rd. laundromat — which Perkins owned, according to the Daily News — where they found his bullet-ridden body, police said.
Doctors pronounced him dead in a local hospital, authorities said.

Police eventually linked the robbery to four men and one boy, NYPD officials said.
They are:
- Louis Mercado, 48, of Queens
- Ronnie Buttler, 46, of Queens
- Diante Stinson, 20, of Queens
- Shaleek Riddick, 19, of Queens
- A 16-year-old boy
All face counts of murder, robbery and conspiracy, police said.
