  1. New York Attorney General Letitia James said on Thursday that former President Donald Trump has continued to engage in "ongoing fraud" since the state filed a lawsuit against him last month. In a statement she demanded a judge to block Trump from moving assets and impose a federal monitor to oversee his future financial statements. (New York City Patch)
  2. New York City's Uber and Lyft drivers are asking the City Council to expand their access to the bathroom during the workday. While many drivers work upwards of 16 hours per day they often struggle to find publicly accessible places to go when nature calls. The city recently approved a bill that requires restaurants to allow delivery workers to use their bathrooms. (New York City Patch)
  3. Non-emergency repairs to NYCHA tenant's apartments are taking two-and-a-half times longer to complete now than they did in 2019, averaging 49 days, records show. One East Harlem resident's apartment, for example, has been overtaken with mold, plumbing and electrical issues that make it hard for her to breathe. (THE CITY)
  4. Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams announced plans on Thursday for a $1.6 billion life sciences facility, which will be known as the Science Park and Research Campus Kips Bay. "This is where we'll invent new vaccines, cure chronic disease, and unlock the knowledge that will help millions of people to live longer, stronger, and healthier lives," said Adams at a press conference.   5. New York City is moving too slow in preparation for future storm surges and costal flooding on the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, a report from the Comptroller's office states. The report found that roughly $4 billion in funds for recovery efforts remain unspent. (THE CITY)
