Man Found Decapitated In NYC Home, Teen Taken Into Custody: Police
Charges against the alleged suspect are pending as of Tuesday morning.
NEW YORK CITY — A 45-year-old man was found decapitated in the bathroom of a Staten Island home on Monday, according to police.
The incident happened inside a home on Cary Avenue in West Brighton around 4:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old girl discovered the body in the bathtub and called police.

A 19-year-old boy, was taken into custody following the incident, police said. He is believed to be the victim's stepson, according to multiple media reports.
What led up to the deadly stabbing is not known at this time. Charges against the alleged suspect are pending as of Tuesday morning.

Both the victim and the suspect have not been identified yet.
The stepson's mother told NBC News that the 19-year-old man has a history of mental illness.
