NYC Prisoner Escaped Custody At Hospital, No Arrests Made Yet: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — The NYPD are trying to locate a prisoner who escaped police custody while being treated in a New York City hospital Thursday, police said.
At 11:52 a.m., Jose Lopez, 37, was being treated at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln while in police custody, when he fled on foot out of the building, police said.
Lopez is described as standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

The NYPD has released photos of the escaped prisoner.
Similarly, in June, another prisoner escaped police custody while being treated at a NYC hospital.

James Mossetty, 35, was re-arrested in Manhattan on July 16 after escaping NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue on June 26, police said.
He fled on foot out of the building and into the FDR Drive and apparently boarded a NYC bus after his escape from the hospital, according to a New York Times report.
