NYC School Librarian Leaves Infant Daughter In Car For Hours: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A public school librarian was arrested after leaving his 1-year-old daughter in a car for more than four hours while he went to work, police said.
Michael Dodes, 41, was arrested on a child endangerment charge about 2:50 p.m. Thursday after staff at the Walter J. Damrosch School in Morrisania saved the infant from the parked car, police said.
The uninjured girl and taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital for evaluation, NYPD officials said.

Officers don't know exactly how long the infant was inside the car, but police told Patch it appeared to be more than four hours.
