Good morning, New York City. Speed cameras might stay turned on 24/7 in the near future, and the city has its first potential case of Monkepox. There's a lot going on this weekend, from an art fair to a dance parade, to the Brooklyn half marathon.

Here are the top five stories in New York City today:
- NYC's speed cameras could soon be kept on 24/7, per a new bill introduced in the State Legislature. The cameras, which are under state control despite operating in the city, currently are off from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (New York City Patch)
- One patient is being treated at Bellevue Hospital for a suspected case of monkey pox. The disease, similar to smallpox, typically begins with flu-like symptoms and can cause rashes that last up to four weeks. The first U.S. case was reported in Massachusetts on Wednesday. (New York City Patch)
- Authorities scrambled to rescue two window washers on Friday morning who were left stranded on a dangerous scaffolding 40 stories in the air at 56th Street and 5th Avenue around 8 a.m. Luckily, nobody was hurt. (New York City Patch)
- Attorney General Letitia James is warning New Yorkers to be wary when making plans this summer, especially bookings through AirBnB. In past years, there have been cases of families and individuals across the city raking in millions, while offering rooms without windows or air-conditioning. Always check before you book! - Housing developers are rushing to begin work before a June 15 deadline, when a tax incentive known as 421a is set to expire. In the past several months, the city has seen a spike in the number of permits issued. Supporters of the break say it's the best way to address the city's housing crisis, while opponents aren't so sure. (THE CITY)

- The Brooklyn Half-Marathon will kick-off on Washington Avenue near the Brooklyn Museum, with an estimated 22,000 runners expected (7:30 a.m.)
- Frieze New York Art Fair is on at The Shed, featuring work from 65 galleries (11 a.m.)
- New York City's 16th Annual Dance Parade will begin at 21st Street between 5th and Park Avenues, before making its way through Lower Manhattan (11:45 a.m.)
- Columbia University's West Harlem campus will host movies, activities and free food in celebration of Manhattanville Community Day (1 p.m.)
On Sunday...
- The Israel Day parade will make its way down 5th Avenue (11:30 a.m.)
And next week...
- Starting Monday you can pick your own tulips from the center of Park Avenue. (May 23-29)
- On Wednesday the Brooklyn Public Library's Center for Brooklyn History will open a new show, "Enacting Central Brooklyn," that features the stories of Black Brooklynites. (7:30 p.m.)
Crime Corner:
- A 15-year-old boy was arrested and will be tried as an adult in the shooting of an 11-year-old girl in The Bronx. (New York City Patch)
- Four police officers were injured on Friday, after suspected car-part thieves crashed into their cruiser during a chase. Two suspects are in custody, while another two are still at large. (New York Post )
- The NYPD hosted a memorial service on Friday for Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora, the two police officers who were shot dead in Harlem on January 21. (Pix 11)

- Trump paid a $110,000 fine this week, and all he has left to do is submit some paperwork to no longer be held in contempt of court by New York. (Associated Press)
- 'Zero Nukes,' a mushroom-shaped inflatable public art project in Times Square, is meant to provoke conversations about the world's anti-nuclear movement. (Gothamist)
