NYC Stabbing Suspect Shot And Killed By State Troopers: Report

New York State Police considered Ali "armed and dangerous."

NEW YORK CITY — A man wanted for a stabbing in Brooklyn was shot and killed by state troopers in upstate New York Wednesday.

The man identified as Ali Ali was shot around 2.p.m. in a densely wooded area off Trout Brook Road in Highland Mills, New York State Police said.

Earlier, troopers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle, which then crashed and caught fire at NYS Thruway milepost 49, north of Exit 16. Ali, who was driving the vehicle, ran from the scene into the woods.

On Monday, Ali stabbed a 50-year-old woman in a Brooklyn laundromat, according to a New York Post report.

New York State Police considered Ali "armed and dangerous" and issued a shelter in place warning to residents in the area after he was spotted on a trail camera.
