NYC Subway Delays: 3 Lines Screwed Up During Morning Rush Hour

Door problems and a sick customer roiled commutes on the A, C and F lines.

NEW YORK, NY — Broken doors and a sick customer messed up Monday morning commutes on three subway lines. A train with door problems at High Street in Brooklyn briefly rerouted A and C trains into Manhattan while a customer needing medical assistance in Queens redirected southbound F trains, according to New York City Transit.

Dozens of commuters were forced off the stalled C train at High Street as A and C trains were sent over the F line from Jay Street to 34th Street and then via the D line to Columbus Circle just after 9 a.m. Normal service resumed at 9:09 a.m., NYC Transit said on Twitter.

The sick customer at 21st Street-Queensbridge forced southbound F trains to run on the E line from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza, then over the M line to Rockefeller Center, the transit agency said just before 9:30 a.m. Normal service resumed about 5 minutes later.
