NYC Subway Delays: 5 Lines Roiled During Rush Hour

Train-related issues messed up commutes on the A, B, C, D and 7 lines.

NEW YORK — Train-related problems roiled commutes on five subway lines Tuesday morning. Straphangers on the 7 line could expect delays in both directions because of "train connectivity issues," the MTA said.

New York City Transit advised allowing extra time or taking an E, F, M, N or R train as an alternative, though it said service resumed around 8:25 a.m.

Separately, southbound A, B, C and D trains were hit with delays after a train's brakes were automatically activated at 59th Street-Columbus Circle, according to the MTA.
