NYC Subway Delays: 6 Lines Messed Up By Halted Trains, Signals

The A, C, E, N, Q and W lines were hit with delays Monday morning.

NEW YORK, NY — Straphangers faced delays on six subway lines Monday morning after two trains were halted at major transit hubs. Trains' brakes getting "automatically activated" at Times Square and the Port Authority Bus Terminal station messed up the N, Q, A, C and E lines, according to MTA alerts.

The agency said N and Q service had resumed just before 9 a.m. but still warned of delays. Service was resuming on the A, C and E lines around 8 a.m., according to a New York City Transit Twitter post.

Delays also roiled northbound N and W trains because of signal problems at Queensboro Plaza, the MTA said.
