NYC Subway Delays: Columbus Circle Fire, Brooklyn 'Investigation' Cause Commuting Headaches
Breaking: Smoke in Columbus Circle. A line down in Brooklyn. Another day on Cuomo's MTA.

NEW YORK, NY — New York City subway riders faced more widespread delays and commuting headaches on Thursday morning, though much of these were (seemingly) not the direct fault of the MTA.
Further frustrating commuters, the MTA said that its countdown clocks were "not displaying accurate information at this time" on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and shuttle lines.
An "investigation" at Saratoga Avenue in Brooklyn meant no 3 train service between Junius Street and New Lots Avenue in both directions. Southbound 3 trains were terminating at Crown Hts-Utica Av.

Customers were told to use the 3 Shuttle Bus Service, B14 or B15 buses making nearby station stops.
Those trains were running back to normal by about 8:30 a.m. but with delays.

In Manhattan, a fire in the Columbus Circle station snarled service.
Northbound A trains were running local from Canal Street to 72nd Street. Northbound B, C, and D trains were all running with delays.
That fire was out by about 8:30 a.m. and the trains were back running with delays.
And because of signal problems at Broadway Junction, Eighth Avenue-bound L trains were running with delays.
Patch will update this post throughout the morning with the latest delay information.
