NYC Subway Delays: R Trains Halted By Power Outage
Delays and service changes slammed a total of six subway lines Friday morning.

BROOKLYN, NY — A power outage halted R train service in part of Brooklyn Friday morning as delays roiled a total of six subway lines. The loss of power slammed the R line between 36th Street and 95th Street-Bay Ridge during a sweltering morning commute, according to the MTA.
The transit agency warned of delays on the D, N and R lines. D trains are stopping on the N line between 36th Street and Coney Island, while some soutbound N and R trains are ending at 36th Street or Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, the MTA said.
Service changes and delays also hit the 2, 5 and J lines Friday morning because of signal problems and a customer needing medical assistance, according to the MTA.
