NEW YORK, NY — New York City subway commuters returned from the weekend to find delays on several major lines across the city because of "rail conditions" between two major stations that connect Brooklyn and Queens.
The problems between Queensboro Plaza and Lexington Avenue-59th Street caused problems during the morning rush for nine different subway lines that service Manhattan, according to the MTA. Those problems were still persisting around 10 a.m.
Southbound R trains were running on the F line from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue to Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and then via the Q line to 57th Street-Seventh Avenue.
