- A former Yankee Stadium waitress has filed a lawsuit against Mayor Adams' controversial vaccine mandate exception for professional athletes such as Kyrie Irving. The waitress, who was terminated in September after working for 17 years, argues that she and other workers deserve the same rights as celebrity athletes. (New York City Patch)
- Mayor Adams and Comptroller Brad Lander announced they are halting opening any new bank accounts with Wells Fargo, after a report a month ago stated the bank had discriminated against Black homeowners. Just two weeks ago the Mayor was caught partying with Wells Fargo executives and celebrities at an exclusive event. (New York City Patch)
- Governor Kathy Hochul appeared to be successful in rolling back at least some degree of New York's bail reform laws, much to the dismay of some criminal justice advocates who called the move "reactionary." Mayor Adams and the Police Benevolence Association believe the rollback doesn't go far enough. (New York City Patch)
- A pilot program plans to offer $1,000 per month to expecting mothers in parts of Upper Manhattan (Inwood and Washington Heights). Pregnant women can apply to The Bridge Project until April 13. (New York City Patch)
- A detainee at Rikers Jail tried to kill a fellow detainee while he was asleep, according to the Bronx District Attorney. Since the attack on December 13 the second detainee, Jose Matias, has been an induced coma. (New York City Patch)
