NYC Weather: 100-Degree Heat Index Looms As 'Bermuda High' Moves In

A scorcher is coming to ruin New Yorkers' outdoor plans this week.

NEW YORK CITY — Better include "air conditioning" and "cooling dips in the water" in your plans this week, New Yorkers — a scorcher is heading your way.

The heat index is expected to crack 100 degrees Thursday and Friday as a "Bermuda High" pressure system moves over the city, according to the National Weather Service's New York office.

"Bermuda High Pressure will establish itself mid to late this week, setting up a significant warming trend," the office tweeted.
