NYC Weather: April Showers Bring April Showers, Rain, More Showers

NEW YORK CITY — Prepare yourself for soggy socks, foggy glasses and boggy weather, the rain is here and it's not going away soon.

New York City will see rain fall on-and-off from Wednesday through Saturday with a completely sunny day not predicted until Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The city could get up to a quarter inch of rain Wednesday, followed by a day of thunderstorms, showers and more than an inch of rain predicted Thursday and Thursday night, forecasts show.

There may be glimmers of sunlight Friday and Saturday, but there may also be, you guessed it, more rain.

But at the end of the downpours is a Monday predicted to have blue skies and temperatures in the low 60s.

Rain, mainly before noon. High near 53. Northeast wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 47. East wind 10 to 13 mph.

Thursday
Rain likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 54. East wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
