NYC Weather Forecast: Flash Floods Could Hit Over Stormy Weekend
Thunderstorms could drench the city on Saturday.

NEW YORK, NY — Thunderstorms and even flash flooding could drench New York City over a potentially rainy weekend. The National Weather Service warned of a low chance of flash flooding across the metropolitan area for Friday night and Saturday as wet weather looms.
There's a chance of thunderstorms throughout Friday, but they're most likely to hit from Saturday morning to early that afternoon, the weather service's forecast shows. More than half an inch of rain could fall on Central Park by 2 p.m. Saturday, the forecast says.
High temperatures in the mid-80s are expected for Friday and Saturday, while a sunny Sunday will bring more heat with a high near 90, the weather service says.
