NYC Weather Forecast: Storms May Continue Late-Summer Soak
Central Park has seen nearly 5 inches more rain than normal so far this month.

NEW YORK, NY — Don't put your boots away just yet. More thunderstorms could continue an unusually wet month as temperatures cool down this week in New York City, the National Weather Service says.
A slight chance of light rain could spoil partly sunny skies Monday while the mercury tops out at a cooler-than-usual high near 79 degrees, the weather service says.
Showers and thunderstorms could roll in Tuesday evening and last into Wednesday, bringing more than a quarter-inch of rain to Central Park, the weather service's forecast shows.
