NYC Weather Forecast: Temps To Top 100 Degrees This Week

A heat advisory goes into effect in the city Tuesday.

NEW YORK, NY – If you missed the unbearable heat and humidity the last few days, you are in luck! It's returning with a vengeance beginning Monday and stretching through the week.

Temperatures near 90 on Monday will get even hotter on Tuesday and Wednesday. A heat advisory will be in effect for New York City on both days. The National Weather Service says heat index values – how hot it feels with humidity factored in – could reach 104 degrees.

Things will "cool down" a bit come the end of the workweek, but the initial Labor Day weekend forecast looks a bit dicey. There's a chance of rain Friday night through Sunday, the NWS says.
