NYC Weather: Heat Wave Sizzles Area, Heat Advisory Extended
The National Weather Service has also issued an air quality alert for the New York City area.

NEW YORK CITY — Tuesday will continue the trend of hot weather and high humidity in New York City, according to the latest forecasts.
A heat advisory is still in effect for New York City until 8 p.m. Wednesday, with temperatures reaching a high of 88 degrees. Humidity it will feel like the mid-90s outside.
In addition, the National Weather Service has issued an air quality alert for the New York City area.

“Seniors and those with chronic health problems or mental health conditions are at an increased risk,” according to the alert. “Homes without air conditioning can be much hotter than outdoor temperatures."
Wednesday is expected to see temperatures near the 90s again, with a high of 88 degrees with partly sunny skies.

Thursday and Friday will continue the heat wave trend, with temperatures reaching the 80s and low 90s, according to forecasts.
For Thursday, there are scattered showers in the forecast, with a 35 percent chance of rain.
Friday is lined up to be similar, with a 55 percent chance of precipitation.
