NYC Weather: Thunderstorms, Hail, Strong Winds Could Pummel City
A hazardous weather outlook warns of potential severe weather for the city Wednesday.

NEW YORK CITY — Severe storms could hit New York City — and we're not talking about the political one atop the NYPD.
The city is under a hazardous weather outlook Wednesday that warns of strong potential storms, hail and damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service.
Even if storms don't materialize — and they didn't Monday when forecasters issued a near-identical alert — it's more likely than not to be a wet day.

Showers and storms stay in the forecast through the weekend, which for many New Yorkers will be three days because of the Juneteenth holiday.
