NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Nov. 26-27

NEW YORK, NY — Here's how the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) plans to screw up your commute this weekend — from late Friday night, Nov. 25, through early Monday morning, Nov. 28 — in the name of "upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service."

2 train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, November 26 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2 service operates in two sections. Between Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College and E 180 St, and between E 180 St and Wakefield-241 St.

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, November 26 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, E 180 St-bound 2 trains run express from Wakefield-241 St to E 180 St.

3 train:

• At all times until further notice, 3 trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions. Use free shuttle buses instead.
  • For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
  • For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

• At all times until further notice, 3 trains skip Pennsylvania Av in both directions. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Pennsylvania Ave and Van Siclen Av at all times. B20 and B83 customers can transfer to/from free shuttle buses at Pennsylvania Av. Free transfer is available with MetroCard.

4 train:

• At all times until Spring 2017, 4 trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions. Use free shuttle buses instead.
  • For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
  • For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

• At all times until further notice, 4 trains skip Pennsylvania Av in both directions. Free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Pennsylvania Ave and Van Siclen Av at all times. • From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Saturday, November 26, and from 11:45 p.m. Saturday, November 26, to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, November 27, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains run express from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to Grand Central-42 St.

5 train:

• From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 5 trains run every 20 minutes.

• From 3:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 26, and from 9:45 p.m. Saturday, November 26 to 9:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, 5 Shuttle service is replaced by the 2 between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St.

6 train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, November 27, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains run express from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to Grand Central-42 St.

7 train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday, November 26 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains run express from 74 St-Broadway to Queensboro Plaza.

A train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Inwood-207 St A trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 145 St.

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Queens-bound A trains skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St.

C train:

• From 6:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, 168 St-bound C trains run express from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 145 St.

• From 6:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, Queensbound-bound C trains skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St.

D train:

• From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 26 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound D trains run local from DeKalb Av to 36 St.

E trains:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, World Trade Center-bound E trains skip 23 St and Spring St.

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Jamaica Center-bound E trains run express from Queens Plaza to 71 Av.

F train:

• At all times until early 2017 Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound F trains skip Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U, and Avenue X. To these stations, take the Coney Island-bound F to Kings Hwy or Neptune Av and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. From these stations, take a Jamaica-bound F to Kings Hwy or 18 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

N trains:

• At all times until Spring 2017, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound N trains skip 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy. N trains will stop at Bay Pkwy and 8 Av.
  • To 86 St, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy, take the Astoria-bound N to Bay Pkwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.
  • To 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound N to 8 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound N to Bay Pkwy or Stillwell Av and transfer to an Astoria-bound N.
• For New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the N Transfer to an Astoria-bound N train at 36 St.

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, N trains are rerouted via the Q line in both directions between Canal St and DeKalb Av.

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Coney Island- Stillwell Av bound N trains run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St.

Q train:

• From 11:00 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, Manhattan bound Q trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park.

R train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, R trains are suspended in both directions between Whitehall St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday, November 25 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 27, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, November 27, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 28,R trains run express in both directions between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 36 St. Bay Ridge-bound R trains skip 45 St and 53 St.

• From 6:30 a.m. to 12 Midnight, Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, R trains are rerouted via the Q line in both directions between Canal St and DeKalb Av in both directions.

• From 6:30 a.m. to 12 Midnight, Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, Bay Ridge-bound R trains skip DeKalb Ave and run express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 59 St.

• From 6:30 a.m. to 12 Midnight, Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, 71 Av-bound R trains run express from Queens Plaza to 71 Av.
