NYPD Cops Fatally Shoot Gunman Chasing Couple Down Street
A 20-year-old man who ran after and fired a gun at a couple Monday is dead after NYPD officers shot him in East Flatbush, officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — Police shot and killed a gunman who chased — and fired off bullets at — a couple down a Brooklyn street, NYPD officials said.
The couple — a man and woman — emerged uninjured from the chase Monday evening in East Flatbush, said NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell.
The police shooting unfolded after cops in an unmarked car took a turn near East 57th Street and Linden Boulevard and saw a man, 20, chasing and firing numerous gunshots at a couple, Chell said.

He said police had received numerous calls about shots being fired about 5:55 p.m. in the neighborhood.
Cops in an unmarked car canvassed the area for roughly seven minutes before they came upon the shooter mid-chase, Chell said.
Chell said a 60-year-old man near the chase also suffered a gunshot wound, but police were unsure whether it was connected.
