The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
NEW YORK CITY — An NYPD officer shot and killed a driver near the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn Tuesday night after police tried to pull over the vehicle that was reported stolen.
Police initially ran the license plates of a Porsche and discovered it had been stolen in Pennsylvania, officials said.
Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle near Cropsey Avenue, but were unsuccessful as the driver sped off the Belt Parkway and headed toward surrounding service roads before heading onto the parkway again.
